Project brief

Metal Market is a business-to-business (B2B) fintech-enabled steel marketplace that collaborates with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). This partnership allows for the supply of goods on credit. The startup has a multinational team and is headquartered in India.

Having completed their pre-seed funding round, the founders were gearing up for a seed funding round and sought our consultation services.

What we did:

The founders of Metal Market approached us with a fully developed business model and proven traction. Our task was to adjust their pitch slides and one-pager for the new investment round. Here’s what we accomplished:

• We reformulated the market problem, highlighting the current need for digitalization in the Indian B2B steel market and identifying the primary beneficiary of this process.

• We shifted the startup's positioning, emphasizing its killer feature – credit scoring and partnerships with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs).

• We highlighted an additional monetization opportunity through the project’s IT solutions, focusing on automated matchmaking.

• We included in the presentation the project's traction in India, adhering to a strategy of selling to investors not just the idea and scalability of the startup, but also the expertise of the founders, the team, and advisors.

• We simplified the visualization of the business model, technological solution, and value creation for verbal defense, ensuring the slide was easily understandable at a glance.
